F1 fever!

feel very very blessed indeed coz i got FREE passes to attend this year's Formula 1. i was pretty excited about it. just thinking in my head, it would be really cool if i can go and BAM! thk god for all this blessings. :)

I was really getting pumped and hyped up to go watch F1 and seriously, i didnt expect it to be so fun! lol~ everyone there was so excited and it really got me going! lol~ i rushed off after service and i tot the race ended when we reached but good thing it was the practice session that just ended. headed over the Timbre Arts House for a good pizza some drinks before heading back.

i think good things should come in pairs :p anyway, thks to ivy, we managed to go to one of my coverted places in singapore, One Marina Boulevard. it was like a function room that only the staff reserved. it was really cool and the view is simply exasperating and awesome! breathtaking indeed. here we were in the relaxing mode with aircon, different from the qualifying race the day before where you gotta brave the humility although the atmosphere is really different!! lol~

anyway, really thankful to Jack and Ivy for making all this possible. a fun-filled weekend for myself and thk god for all this! :) next year mayb its time for the Pit stop location? =X

Sukiya Shabu Shabu-Part 2

*azabu sabo
Ti-rah-misu
*fruit tart
after our shabu shabu fiesta, a few of us decided to further our activities on this lazy monday (thk god for public holidays falling mondays!). we caught a movie at The Cathay titled "Whiteout". pretty decent show filled with good suspense and stuff. before we headed over for movie, xiuxiu had a craving for Azabu Soba ice cream even after a heavy buffet. lol~ *salute~ jack, keegan couldnt resist the temptation and gave in lol~

after the show, we headed to Dhoby Exchange arcade. lol~ its really weird for us to go to the arcade to play games but i had to pull them there to play the Daytona that had 6 driving machines. it was a fun-filled and extremely hilarious coz xiuxiu became our "Super catwoman". i shall not elaborate on the details but its an epic afterall and i think its gonna be deep in our head for a long long time!~ all of us commented that we shall do this again. lol~

once again, after a breathtaking arcade session, we headed to TCC to chill and have some coffee since jack was feeling tired coz he was working 24hrs the night before. we shared 2 cakes/pastries which are always on my radar. i really love this time spent coz it was really a day where i let down myself and simply go along with the motions of everything. how i desire such times where i neednt think about anything at all but moving on a free gear. best of them all is you have wonderful people surrounding you and moving in the same speed and mode as you and you know they arent gonna leave u behind. thats what i call comrades and no longer friends.

Sukiya Shabu Shabu-Part 1

it was yet another shabu shabu outing for 8 of us on the day right Hari Raya. i was quite excited about it coz on my last Shabu outing at illuma, it was a wonderful time complete with wonderful companions! :) this was a recommendation from Tricia. thanks for this wonderful recommendation and the guys/gals simply love it. the soup is nice, ambience is wonderful (coz we managed to squeeze all together in 1 sitting), best of them all is the price! lol~ $15.90+ for lunch and $19.90+ for dinner!

anyway, it was indeed yet another exhilarating experience for me especially when comes to food! our new addition, Shirley came along and I think she also had much fun crapping, eating, joking and chatting with us. it was really a fun-filled dining session that makes me wonder why the heck i'm be studying when i SHOULD be enjoying life!? anyway, without my studies, i wont be where i am today and the friendships i've forged wont be around! lol~

the food was really good. the beef, chicken, pork is free flow! yippy!~ 3 kinds of soup base to choose from where you select 2: Sukiyaki, Shabu-Shabu and KimChi. We picked the sukiyaki and kimchi based which was a winning strategy for all of us! add $1 more for free flow of jap occha! simply enjoyed myself with superb friends!

after which we went to pig out and walkabout..... :D

Happy Birthday Bel!

it was a joyous time as always to celebrate birthdays and what's more when you celebrate a "celebrity's" birthday! :p it was a rush-rush (not hush-hush) affair and was thankful that we all managed to make it a successful occasion for our beloved bel! :)

*Canele's Jupiter

*food for everyone! :) Pizza and KFC!

(this 2 pics are taken using omnia vs the 1st pic above using iphone-huge contrasting differences)

it was fun taking pictures of the elegant cake. i think bel had fun herself although it was in office. lol~

Happy Birthday Bel, hope you'll have a blessed 09/10. greater things yet to be seen and indeed the coming days will be more glorious than the former. like you wished, hope the team will continue striving cohesively under your leadership and together soar to greater heights. may your personal dreams and endeavours come to pass! be blessed! :)
*OH! and happy shopping! lol~ =X

Royal China Dim Sum-Part 2

har gao
custard layered cake
was craving for some dim sum the other day during the 2nd day of Comex. so i decided to arrange a dimsum session with my good friend. lol~ i would love to always go back to Royal China anytime when my dimsum given its excellent quality and service.

this time, the only sadness i experienced was they no longer serve the appetiser tofu... :( thats one tofu that will definitely make one drool over it. whats more when i'm a hardcore tofu-lover...
that aside, this time there's only 2 pics coz the rest i have taken before like the siew mah, lo mai gai, char siew bao and cheong fun etc. not forgetting all dim sum lovers' favourite-har gao! lol~

the 2nd dish was a dish recommended by the staff. i was craving for some custard buns and they didnt have it!!! @_@ instead, they had this new creation, custard layered cake. i was a little sceptical but who cares of cynism or whatever when you're at one of the best dim sum restaurants in town! lol~ the custard layered cake impressed my friend and myself too! a pity we had it last. i think the cake will taste awesome if we had it after sooner after its being served. its a new fusion from the normal custard stuff one usually had. nice~!

Charcoal BBQ

i was looking forward to having yet another buffet only after having shabu shabu just 3 days back! lol~ feeling greedy yet hungry! it seems all the food i have cannot satiate my endless appetites lol~

this place was recommended (strongly) by Eric and Philia. i have to say, i really had my doubts since it was jus at St James Power Station. i've passed by here on several occasions and yet, i've never really taken notice of it, worse, there's really no one here!! @_@
*tenderloins
*beef cubes

SALMONS, scallops & assorted :p
TO my 3 other friends and my surprise, the food is lovely!~ *slurp~ all of the food we ordered are so fresh!! and i couldnt stop eating and cooking and eating and cooking... lol~ there're 4 types of beef here and we had them all, the salmon is so nice and apparently i had to boast to my friends who had the buffet last week coz the restaurant didnt have the salmon haha~

my friends were already salivating when the scallops came... it was a pretty sight coz it was still fresh from on its shells. i had 1 and i disliked it coz it was so fresh that it tasted so raw to me... one of my friends couldnt help by keep cooking and swallowing it down her throat! lol~ it felt like she was eating oysters!! haha~

i simply love this place and i think it may not appeal to girls in general who are particular abt their food coz its more heavy as in, more meaty in many sense. they do have greens although i didnt pay much attention to them expect for its shitake mushrooms which are really soft and tender... we also had vernison (gosh, so nice!~~), chicken, pork loins, cheese sausages and many more. one may think the menu offers a limited variety of food but its so wrong coz i enjoyed myself so much and i didnt even managed to try all of the menu!! :)

The cost worked out to be approx $35/pax after factoring the GSTs and Service Charge. The price is a promotional price for a limited time only. hehehe~ so blessed!~

kudos to good food!~ =X

Azabu Sabo

*occha (green tea)
*pork katsu don
*complimentaries
*Milk chocolate with ice cream
*Soda with ice cream
after trying so much of their lovely ice-creams, i think its time to try its main dishes. i wanted to go to Central to try out Gobi cakes but sadly, it was closed :(

so walked around at Central to see if there's anything to eat since my friend and i didnt have dinner but ice cream at one good ice cream store near siglap (which i cant rem the name oops~) anyway, that aside, i think the Azabu dining outlet was surprisingly rather packed at a late hour at abt 945pm. i think the waiters and waitresses were huffing and puffing away, trying to meet all customers' needs. another contributing reason that i went ahead with eating here is due to a discount partnership with StanChart.

my friend and i shared a Pork Katsu Don since i wasn't really hungry. the ice cream drinks was refreshing and nice! mine's the one with the cherry-Ice Cream With Soda, while my friend went ahead with a safe option of Ice Cream with Milk Chocolate. it was nice and its definitely a nice place to chat and relax especially if you're out a whole day looking for a nice place to chill and stuff. highly recommended, pricetag is really affordable! :)

Shabu Shabu~

arranged a mini class outing with a few of them before sch reopened the following wk. it was a much anticipated foodie outing especially for ME!! :p it is really cheap (in my opinion) since we were paying "student price" which was $15.99++. it was a fun experience with good food. the food was pretty fresh but the shortfall is that each person is only entitled to one box of beef (as shown above) :( i would love to have more beef although the other food was pretty decent and appetitizing especially their sausages, soba, vercemilli, pork loins etc. soup base chosen was spicy and miso. the spicy soup is amazing and it simply works wonders for me and most of them. i enjoyed my meal with soba and spicy soup plus the enoki and seaweeds. NICE~

i think the most important part in complementing good food is GOOD COMPANY!! yesh~ i'm starting to reap the benefits and understand the importance of forging strong bonds with various types of people and friends. it takes 2 to clap and sometimes we all get so coped up with our agendas that we neglect this area.

i was in the car with a good friend and we were talking about careers, friends and life after we all graduate in a yr's time. i love the way he says that lets continue to go out and meet up all that after that. this guy is one friend i will want to continue to be friends, if possible for a long long time. he really doesn't know the word "boundaries". i know for only a couple of times, he has introduced me to his own circle of influence and i'm simply appalled and touched by his actions. really, takes my breath away.

i've seen so much in my life, how were they good friends for a good period of time, shared the same interests, having the same preferences, shopping habits etc and all of the sudden, simply not being able to accept one's opinions and truths and begins to sow contempt. this past months, through my life, i've learnt the importance of holding my peace which has slowly become an attribute for my life. an outspoken person i am and yet this little thing of holding an individual's peace is so often being neglected.

anyway, cut u guys some slack :p lets go eat soon... which will be this coming 21st! =X

Erdinger hoot

I saw this at carrefour the other day and i was tempted to buy but since i couldnt find the price tag, i jus gave it up. i like the whole package which esp the 2 beer mugs in this item. anyway, erdinger beer is really nice since its wheat beer. its smooth on ur throw and best of all, its sweet! i miss my konigg weissner..... :( nvm, i've yet to open it lol~

there's actually lots of surprises you can find at carrefour, i'm beginning to love them over our homebrand, NTUC(s). of course, they can't beat the price tags offered by homebrands but they offer a huge and i mean HUGE variety of products and stuff. i would go there and get my ready-made chicken chop, fish fillets or even sushi for a good $3++ and enjoy it. they also offer wide range of foreign products which you cant find in most supermarkets except for Marketplace(my guess).

Canele-falling in love

simply couldnt resist the temptations of having a nice slice of canele's cakes brought me back to square one. how i so desire after thee~ a combination of sweetness and satisfaction revolves in eons and it seems time has come to a standstill as time segues away. oh my~
i had to have them again... i will be trying Gobi cakes at Central Mall this sat. a strong recommendation by a good food buddy (vis-a-vis poison buddy-its a vicious cycle~) and from the looks of it, it seems so pretty, the cakes! canele's great and i neednt elaborate further after my 1st visit there in my prev post. love them~ :*

SIM call casting project

i was invited to go to the school to roam around and to promote the event to SIM's next potential candidates to be the school's ambassadors. its been fun and to speak to classes about how it is to be an ambassador and stuff. i think the response was alright and to go from lecture theatres to theatres are interesting. my partner was a manly looking Korean gentlemen who just graduated from the UOL program and the best part is, he speaks good mandarin. Makes me wonder what the heck i'm doing with my mother tongue, argh, heck it~

i think it was an awkward and silly that i met someone whom i really least expect it, Ms Ophelia... 2nd time, or mayb i'm hexed or what... her boyfriend and her saw me at the photoshoot and now at this roaming project... argh~

afterwhich, the coordinators invited me up to the staff office for some Sakae Sushi!~ :p *slurp~ its been a blessing to be a SIM student and moreover, having such impromptu "treats" oh my, i think only parentheses come to my mind to express my gratitude and appreciation for everything. Thanks SIM and each and everyone thats been there to encourage and support me! muacks~

Goodwood Park Mooncake

its finally here!

O thy love, thy been lusting after thou art since our last rendezvous. How tender and soft are thou lovely skin, it makes thy heart grow weary in waiting. Everyday passes so slowly and alas! All said has indeed become passe coz it is all worthwhile... thy love, whom thy so desire and yearn for....

the durian fillings.... it makes you go ohhmmmmm~ HOLY MAMA~

oh my, oh my... i have been waiting for these yummilicious mooncakes since last year very first encouter with them. it is really nice and till this year, i can still vividly remember prima facie - the taste, the texture, the smell, the aura... gosh, i fell seriously in love with them after that very experience.

I Knew i had to get them this year and although its a month away from mooncake festival, i was least bothered by it and the comments i was going to get. nonetheless, i made my way the very last day of their best promotional price to get a total of 8 boxes! wahaha~ :D
i got 1 durian, 1 mango & pomelo, 2 boxes of assorted ones consisting the durian, mango & pomelo, soursop and cempedak.

alright, tasting:
Durian - "How could I live without you, i want to know~"
Mango & pomelo - "you touched my heart, with your sweetness and love~"
Soursop - "i have lied down, on green pastures, riding on the horse to a far far land...~"
Cempedak - "such refreshing touch, i've never had...~"
*the durian res ipsa loquitur...

its really nice~ and i simply love it.... the durian will make your knee go begging.... lol~ do try them, they have a 15% for DBS, UOB, Citibank cards now till i think 1st Oct. >15boxes will have free delivery. Goodwood for the win~

Moshi iglaze

I was thinking to go for a change for my iphone aft using the belkin silicon for abt 2 months :p
shimin wanted to buy 1 so i decided to go for it since i was buying fr an online friend whom i bought my moshi ipouch from. anyway, i simply love this case although it doesnt offer the same protection as my belkin that protects the silver lining around the screen but it makes the iphone feel so slick and nice to hold. the silicon case i had previously didnt feel as nice as before which prompted me to switch (or maybe its just an excuse =X) anyway, hope this will last a long bit. i'm actually looking at the LV one..... =X *bling bling~

Happy Birthday Andy!

sorry, its a late post! sorry guys~ (i just the pics on my iphone...) sometimes it gets to you when you carry a couple of phones because one has a better camera resolution and the other is a multi-entertainment device... =X anyway, pics away!!~ :)

Bakerzin's Tiramisu

I didnt take much pics as i dare not take out my poor resolution 3GS out to fight SE and Nokia. most of the pics should have been on FB so ya. thanks for making this party a bang, courtesy of Andy because its really been awhile since so huge a group went for an outing and i simply love the steamboat with my taukees :p and ash was busy peeling the prawns for all to eat (0_o'''). the shop uncle was funny when we asked him to help us take a picture and he exclaimed,"一定会拍好, 拍到我的炉最好." and we all burst out laughing coz it was really funny although we knew what was on uncle's mind.
i love the entire concept that its open space and the whole place seems so retro; like those you would only see in HongKong dramas. lol~ i would definitely be back with other friends and the food is good. price-wise is also rather cheap, i think there's 2 pricing for weekdays and weekends. the place is located at AMK hub.
it was a treat from Andy, thanks bro! have a blessed 2009/2010. may your endeavours come to pass!! :)
