Post Exam Happiness!~

Simply Bread's Cinnamon Bread

thanks to Tricia, i got a treat from her "admirer" :x lol~ :p my 1st try of Simply Bread (sorry, such a boring name tag)... its the cinnamon bread tricia was RAVINGGGG about!~ lol~ have to agree... its really nice BUT messy to eat unless you're home or somewhere not so crowded~ :x it really helps bring out the unglam side unless you're REALLY REALLY cautious~ thk god i din mess myself up but its really nice coz the cinnamon covering is generous! thumbs up again! ;)
Island Creamery!!!
we headed over to Serene Centre after exam and the boys and girls in class lovedddddd island creamery's ice cream (is it coz its the nearest of is it really that "gluey"?) yes~ they offer the not-so-common ice cream you cant find elsewhere like Pula Hitam, Tau Tarik etc~ yes, the unconventional offerings of ice cream which yes yes yes, agreed, nice~ tho i'm your usual dessert-guy BUT! :x the cakes is super sinful and nice~ not for the faint-hearted... :D
mayb im not a super-ice cream fan but yesssssssssssssssssss, thumbs up la ok? :x

Traditional desserts!?

top left (clockwise): Barley Gingko beancurd soup, mango paste with soy beancurd, longan grass jelly, waterdrop eggwhite chestnut soup and almond paste!~ slurp~
it never, never bores me haf just yet another bowl of traditional chinese desserts~ yummy~ my bro, his gf and myself went to have desserts after a delicious dinner (pity i din phtot dinner) of Chicken Cutlet noodles at Hong Lim Food Center.

this is another outlet of Ji De Chi dessert house. i think it is proli new coz there's barely a soul in the store except for the staff. anyway, who cares, no crowd equals no wait! woot~ lol~ i want more and more desserts plsssss~ my beauty formulae~ :p

Azabu Soba choco ice cream with choco cream wrapped in crepe

i had a craving for ice cream suddenly! oops!~ :x Azabu had a promo for i think its new product that they just launched(coz i never see b4)... its only $3!!!! lol~ of coz the ice cream portion is pretty small but eating the entire crepe will definite have an effect on your stomach! lol~

i think there were 4 types of different crepes to choose from and i slyly picked the chocolate one with a long name which i cant remember what it is! :p yes! lovely and thumbs up again for Azabu Soba! nice!~ had a simple dinner at the nearby foodcourt jus next to them! lol~ i was craving for more ice cream after having this! oops~ :x

Ichiban Boshi

above* Half Curry chicken udon

*pork miso soup (ichiban prides themselves for their miso)

*curry chicken katsu with rice

*salmon bowl

unagi rice

we were here celebrating Zhenhui's bday and it was my 2nd visit here but 1st dining experience here. cut the story short... i was browsing through the menu and couldnt make up my mind on what to eat. i was feeling hungry and greedy! =x the menu looked appetizing but sadly, im not a sushi person coz i don'y like raw food... :( in the end i went for the curry udon + pork miso soup which was really worth it. Zhao's curry pork katsu looked really delicious and i was tempted to "steal" his food :p
the most worth was the salmon bowl + unagi bowl set. it comes with chawamushi, a bowl of miso and i think a plate of cut fruitsa all for think $18.99++. i think the menu is fairly-priced and the restaurant is well-placed with good ambience. a posh style of dining without having to feel a pinch on one's wallet. i highly recommend it to sushi lovers although i wont come back often given that i dont have a strong liking for raw and/or seafood. but highly recommended place. they're available also at Suntec City mall! :)

Yamazaki Bakery

*was busy preparing for exam that was a lag between blogs. but everything is back to normal and i'll continue to bring blog entries faithfully every few days again! :) *

eclair basket
strawberry cream puff
i love creamy stuff although its ridiculously unhealthy and contains loads of unsaturated fat! but... who cares! why deprive of oneself of the simple pleasures of life?? :x i think many people disagrees, faithfully promoting healthy living/lifestyles whatever.... YES! whatever to you all out there! coz you're sure to miss out tons out there! :p

i love the strawberry cream puff! the amazing part is that, the cream contains some of the strawberry's love in 'em and it will make your day simply savouring them... i think Jap people emphasize alot on healthy living and thus, the cream comes in a "just-nice" portion and you wont feel sinful after having it! the chocolate eclair was just so-so but its very cheap coz it comes in a basket of 2 going for a mere $2? @,@ fantasticalicious!

pls get them because i think japanese pastries are considered top-tier quality... i would love to go to tokyo and sit inside their pastisseries and have a slice of love and people-watch.... wonderful... the thought of it brings me to a state of Nirvana~ :x Enjoy! i cant remember the price of the cream puff though but its <$2. Grab them! NOW! :x

Secret Recipe 3-in-1 edition

white chocolate macademia

Mango delight
buttersotch pecan

"gluttony is a sin... god thy sinned... forgiveth thy once more"

how can one resist the temptations of early pleasures when the price is halved? i want to be forgiven please..... (the pics speak for itself already?)

these cakes are simply to be adored and savoured upon... i want MORE! this is considered my second attempt on Secret recipes and they wow you in another aspects in terms of texture and their sponge. Art, I would call their sponges because, sponges do make your tongue go boring if overdone. nuff said!

they're all nice except the Mango delight which i think its left too long... i din think twice ordering it despite it was the last piece on display since i din manage to eat it the prev time during its promotion and i should have known better :( nvm, there's always a next time to try a Fresh piece. the nicest of 'em all is white choc macademia! lovely~ :)

Genting-Mmm Yum Yum Bak Kut Teh

was away in malaysia sometime ago during the wkends. it is nice to haf a short getaway anytime, away from all the hectic lifestyles and tight schedules. i love it when i can literally forget everything about work, studies and most importantly, forget who i really am. Taking a seat back from all that awaits you is simply breathtaking.

anyway, most importantly, i managed to try this expensive bak kut teh at genting. i had my doubts although i read about it coz it was a tourist location and things tend to be overpriced and poor in quality. regardless, during the wait for the bus down to KL, i decided to try it coz i know i will "regret" it later if i don't :p

yes, it is nice because although u see that the frivolous effort inside out the kitchen. and God! im paying for the goods & service taxes! yes... call me the typical cheapskate singaporean :x its very cold and thus the yummilicious-ness of it. overall, not bad will be a good rating and its still ridiculously overpriced though you've to accept it since its a tourist attraction. have to try traditional bak kut teh in JB which my friends raved about to conclude malaysia's effort :)

Oreo Cheesecake

it was Shimin's bday and we celebrated it at Bark's Cafe... still a fine place to chill, talk and enjoy! i love it coz we had good food, good cakes and good compay! :) my 1st try with Oreo Cheese and bakerzin's was fantastic, rive would be equally good and indeed it takes great skill to cut a nice pcs of cheesecake! lol~ anyway, the cake's great and i think bday gal enjoyed herself coz it was not an easy year for her! fret not! the latter rain will always be more glorious den the former! huat ah~! :p

Abiding and Winning

abstracted from: http://www.konghee.com/www/2009/08/abiding-in-gods-presence/

"God wants to protect you from all intentional and unintentional dangers. But the loving care and protection of the Lord are conditional upon three “becauses.”

Firstly, “because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place” (91:9). You have to decide to draw near to God’s presence. When you choose to continuously dwell in the presence of God, you will continuously experience His protection over your life.

Secondly, “because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him” (91:14). This conundrum can be clearly understood from the example of a family. Parents have disavowed their children because of their disobedience and lack of natural affection for them. It is the same with our heavenly Father. He wants His children to love Him, and if you do, you will be guaranteed of His protection.

Thirdly, “because he has known My name, I will set him on high” (91:14p). Obviously, this does not speak of knowing His name in an intellectual capacity, but experientially. And although God is known by many names, possibly the most important name is “the Father.” In one sense, “Father” is an all-encompassing name from which fl ows all the other qualities and names of God. The Father’s ears are always open to the cry of His obedient child: “He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him” (91:15). More than that, you will inherit and experience the precious promises of the Father in heaven (91:16)."

i was pretty discouraged some time ago and was reading pastor's daily devotion. i think bad things happen to good people and sometimes we wonder where is god and why this and that. read this GODISNOWHERE. the first immediate reaction from most will be God is nowhere. but pastor made an important statement that we needa have a paradigm shift that the term is instead, God is Now here!

i'm glad that it my discouragement, i found my peace and strength. People no doubt will let us down and sadly, thats something i detested. At the same time, god purges our relationships to find the true friends that stick by you and i thank god i found them :) no doubt, it was saddening but yet, i was brought to another level once again and i know for sure, with god, my victories are guaranteed. i love it because, its either u be on god's side or be against him which i think its really a scary sight.

7 kinds of sufferings we all go through:
1) Storms of Life-the nature of life is stormy coz life's never a bed of roses
2) Chastening (dealings of god)-sonship and chastening goes together
3) Temptations-be tempted and do not sin
4) Spiritual warfare-mainly discouragement and condemnation ranked highest
5) Afflictions-physical sufferings and mental anguish
6) Persecution-attacked for doing the right things
7) Trials of Faith-a test of our capacity of obedience and endurance

the above taught me to be strong and follow the footsteps of Job. (Job 13:15-"though He slay me, I'll trust in Him."). I went into the book of Job during my very trying period of life this year and Job is an amazing man because he lost his entire family and wealth and yet, he didnt curse and take it out on god; even when his wife ask Job to curse god and die. lol~ to surmise, in the end, God restored to Job double of everything that he lost in the beginning. indeed if god, is for me, who can be against me. :)

Far East Plaza Chicken Rice

I had a hard time take a pic of the chicken rice coz the table is shared amongst others and i gotta be subtle about it :x anyway, this is the famous chicken rice many people rave about that's situated at Far East Plaza.

i think the entire dining experience is nice and it gives off the typical crowded hawker centre feel although its air-conditioned. the food is very fresh and i have to say, the ginger sauce is fantastic. the chilli was nice but not wow coz i loved the ginger so much that i had 3 helpings :p i think my neighbours were like 0_o" lol~ i was abit shy but i could still see their looks discreetly~ wahaha~ the salted veg duck soup (咸菜鸭汤) was really amazing... it was raining for few days and soup does wonders to your body... and i really love having soups be it, lunch or dinner... I guess cantonese people loves soup :)

the bill worked out to be $8 i think. $5bucks went to the soup but well-worth every penny i paid and i finished the soup to the last bit, pity the salted veg they used was not so pretty and they din cut it nicely, i guess, most people just enjoy the soup rather than the ingredients. probably, they wanted the ingredients to make the soup more tasty and appetizing! i would love to come back here again! thumbs up!

Big O's Irish Bailey Cheesecake

thks trisha once again for her highly recommendation of this amazing cheesecake. i've always boasted of Canele's and Bakerzin's Cheesecakes and its richness and YET! Big O's cheesecake is inexorably irresistable... *slurp... blogging on this is already making me salivating... :x

i also wanna kill Trisha coz she's been boasting about this cake to me and jus yakking away and away lor... dunno how to have some "initiative" lor.... :( and i jus couldnt resist all her yakkings and decided to drop by during my breaks when i was on duty at APEC. hefty pricetag BUT amazing texture, taste that really gives you the ohmmmm... i think i've been having too much of good cheesecakes/cakes that its been awhile since i almost reached nirvana and this have certainly booked a place on my favourite cakes/pastry list. HAHA~

exaggerating? try it. $8+ after the GST. well-worth every penny and the pricetag reminded me of 1 caramel's and this for sure, wins my vote :)

Bread Papa

i have never tried bread papa before although i love cream puffs. i think its quite expensive and i've always settled for Prima Deli's sinful cream puffs since young when my mum would always buy 1 cream puff and 1 chocolate eclair for my brother who detests vanilla cream. anyway, everything will have its first! and it was a week for feasting during the intensive lectures when a few of us combine our goodies and take picture!! lol~

its nice and indeed it takes as sinful as Prima Deli's but its cream is different. its nice and would serve as a once in a while treat given its pricetag $2.50/pcs and buy 5 get 1 free (i think). anyway, i like some of what my good friends who have always been very encouraging; telling me to pamper oneself occasionally :)

i think its easier to give better gifts to others than ownself. but i believe this is probably the beauty of most of us. anyway, kudos to Bread Papa for its lovely creamy puffs, not for the "weak-hearted", simply love the oozing of the cream when you eat half of it. i'd love to try its ice-cream mua-ji soon ;p

我的美容秘诀

from top left: honeydew sago w vanilla ice cream, yam sago w vanilla ice cream, chestnut sago, ginko nut w barley (clockwise)

desserts! i love desserts... i read this on Ladyironchef's blog that you know a man's a keeper when he loves desserts :x

anyway, i love to have traditional chinese desserts exceptionally and it has been my beauty therapy since young when my mum always bring my siblings and i to chinatown's 二姑糖水. i love the almond paste and occasionally fathom on the sesame paste. still the almond paste is my no.1 favourite till today-credits to mum for telling me that eating almond paste keeps my looks. yes, im a vain man :x

its a wonderful dessert session after some dim sum at my fav royal china @ raffles hotel. i think maybe its about time to engage Yanting @ st regis soon since its no.1 regardless of its hefty pricetag lol~ we shall see about it!~ Desserts and more desserts please!~ :)

Charcoal BBQ-return of Yakiniku

i love Yakiniku, We love Yakiniku!~ yes! we all Do!! :p its lovely to come here and dine and eat and i simply love the ambience coz its not crowded (never?) and best of them all is that service is fast, prompt and excellent!~

some starters that i din see/try on the 1st occasion: COLD tofu, kimchi, octopus

ooolalala~ cook and eat, cook and eat! never stop, never give up!~ :p

it was once again, a fantastic experience eating, chatting and laughing our hearts out! din take much pic this time as we had cam-gal, trisha! :) thks and photos way on my facebook long time ago! almost grossed out when i unintentionally ate a pcs of cow-tongue... *puke~

this time the promotion was over BUT thank god coz stanchart has some discount think 15% off? i cant rem... the bill works out to est. $36/pax. good food + good company = happy outings! :) looking forward to the next outing alrdy! :)

Blueberry Cheesecake

thks to xiuxiu and eugene in class during our intensive lectures, i got a nice slice of blueberry cheesecake from bakerzin's! :p i had my fair share during my birthday but i think the cake-cutter was "poorly-skilled" that he/she kinda "squashed" some of the cake... @,@ i think it takes skill and lots of details plus patience to cut a beautiful slice! ;)

as usual, bakerzin's never fail to impress my taste buds and the goodness of the cheese makes you go ooolala~ :x plus with the blueberry covering on top, nice~! blueberries are alzheimer fighters! so, DIG IN w/o filling guilty! lol~ yum yum!~ thks xiuxiu n eugene!~

Chocolate Indulgence by Secret Recipe

typical "kiasu-ism" =X
a slice of happiness~
I saw the ad somewhere! i cant rem where tho but! who careS~ :D lol~ this is gonna be a little controversial FOR some people but it doesnt really matter to those who knoe nuts!~ :p my 2nd tryst with secret recipe...

the cake is really huge and i think even if its the original pricetag, its really well-worth it. when i say huge, its really huge, fit for a king!! roar~ i couldnt resist the temptation and cut a slice that day in the office and one for my brother... hehe~ i think you have to love cream to love this cake coz its rather gelare and i think 1 slice will cause the law of diminishing returns to kick in... =x

tasting-wise, its still good but, my opinion is that, its very very filling and when i had 3/4 of the cake, i felt full given the fact i skipped lunch... i feel the sponge is a little too much so i guess that what makes it very filling... i guess the girls will proli stop at half. best to share 1 slice. moreover i was very stingy when i cut the 1st slice. hmmm~ken told me that, Chocolate Induglence, the original, does not contain too much sponge. it is due to promotional season that they made it this way, i guess i will have to try it again! :)

overall, its a nice piece of art here and i'm a cream-lover thus the preference for it. i think i proli needa visit canele soon for valrhona detox ;p ;or some bailey's irish cheesecake-this is thks to tricia... :(

Boo Boo Cake~

this piece of cake is heavenly!~ even the whipped cream taste awesome!~ =X

i was out to have pig organ's soup at lavender. i shall post this GREAT pig organ's soup soon man!~ don't have the pics now tho... :x i tot my friend was playing with me when she was describing about Boo Boo cake... i tot was some sort of emo codes?morse codes? or whatever and guess what! i was in bewilderment when i saw it with my very own eyes!~ lol~ think when u mix around too much with crappy people, your brain begins malfunctioning and becomes equally crappy or..... >.< oops!~

anyway, this cake is quite rich and i love rich chocolate cakes especially Canele's. its been awhile, Ms canele, i shall visit u soon.... lol~ and NYDC has really created something i would give a thumbs up and a "out of this world" rating! :) Boo Boo cake it is! one that wont make you go boo hoo!~ :)

shd i get a digital camera? hmmm....... i wonder......... :x

kettle chips

Thanks Clara for giving me this packet of chips so long long long time ago... it was a kind and much appreciated gesture from her... i will never forget it thats for sure coz i was sharing about my sad stories and i think she and my bro could feel for me... yet i guess they din know how what to say to make me feel better :)

its the "atas" chips you'll find it at major good supermarkets. i think i always go for homebrand chips and once in a while pamper myself with either Lay's or Ruffles!~ anyway, i always keep things people give me even food for an eon period =x lol~ anyway, this habit of mine has yet to change coz seeing the item there makes me feel blessed and appreciative to these givers!! ;)

that aside, the taste of it really makes it feel expensive and high crass (purposely spelt this way). haha~ thks bro n clara! grateful!~ :)

Fullerton Hotel DimSum buffet

I'm really very blessed to be able to attend this dimsum session with the forum! lol~ it feels really nostalgic and a atmosphere of suspense and awkardness when i thought about it way back and even during the meetup!! lol~ but yet, the temptation of having dimsum is not diverting me away anyhow!! also, one of my foodie classmate, shirley told me that you gotta make reservations a good 3 mths ahead of time! so i was pretty hyped up when it was an open invitation made and best of all, it was an invaluable experience to be acquainted with new faces of different walks of life!~ :) also, the invitation was made only to the 1st 20 respondees in the forum... keke~ i'm in the guest list as mystery chio bu!

big big table w pu-er tea
assorted
Abalone Siew Mai
shark fins har gau
century egg & pork congee
guo tie~
ok, tasting:
probably it was just me i guess... the food was pretty decent and i think most of the people on the table were raving about the food! haha~ i held back alot on my photo taking coz many others were taking and i wasnt familiar with them and i wouldnt want to look like a cam-whore... :D thus my humble collections were limited and the pictures are a lil' diff from how i normally would make it seem more yummilicious :x haha~

tat aside... i think the dimsum here is more of a seafood/prawn haven.. they had many stuff that was prawn in nature... and i have say this, is that, the quality is good and well-worth your penny given the quality it boasted... really, i mean shark fin's hau gau? abalone siew mai? lol~ impressive huh? i couldnt agree more... of coz, Fullerton pales much in terms of taste which i would expect it to fulfill this area of my needs (Disclaimer: individual pref). overall, i enjoyed myself much! :)

Therefore, enjoy or satisfy your dimsum cravings without feeling the pinch on your wallet given its quality ingredients, priced at $28++ but be ready to endure the wait! lol~

The Dim Sum Buffet at Jade is available on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays for two seatings, from 11.30am to 1.15pm and from 1.45pm to 3.30pm at $28 per person.
For reservations, please call Jade at (65) 6877 8188 or email jade@fullertonhotel.com
http://www.fullertonhotel.com/swf/promotions/delightful_dim_sum_weekends.html

oh! another important thing, i have to applaud the service standards. the service is fantastic and i think our unreasonable demands din blow the staff away, instead, WOAH! the captain blew us away with his professionalism, patience and helpfulness amidst the full crowd in the restaurant. i really salute him for his patience! ;)

Jln Kayu Roti Prata

its been awhile since i went to Jln Kayu for prata already... as usual, this is one of Singapore's fav hangout place for people wanting a dose of prata and some malay food. think its still nice and very very crowded... the parking here is ridiculous as always... anyway, i think its simply an overhype but anyway, who cares? lets jus dig in!!

think the prices has rocketed quite abit since its really been awhile since i had prate and indian food. the ko-song prata cost 90cents, egg cost 1.50 and i wanted the egg-mushroom but it was priced at $3 or $3.50 i think i decided to not give in to my cravings... a piece of dough doesnt really justify for me to dig into my wallet =X anyway, we also ordered some satay and i think its quite nice but the sauce was a lil' too peanut-y for my likings but anyway, we couldnt finish the food coz it proved to be too filling... lol~ thk god i ordered 2 ko-songs only muhaha~

Fish Spa

ho ho ho~ i decided to dare myself to take the fish spa challenge afterall!! lol~ its really funny coz i'm always put off by the thought of it just puts of off... maybe its a lil' disgusting but one of my buddy just went for it so i decided to try since its pretty 'cheap' and we were nearby... :D

i think its $10 (excl gst) for 10mins. i really thank god that it was only a mere 10mins. lol~ the feeling is really ermmm.... i cant explain it but ticklish and ermm.... gross? =X

anyway, its an interesting experience and funny would be a more appropriate word to use i guess. the fishes nimbling on ur feet and calfs... ooooo @.@

Botak Jones

my virgin experience at Botak Jones given the amount of hype i've been hearing about it for a long time. i think i just came out whichever caves i've been living in... (maybe is the Batu caves?) lol~ anyway, it was a dinner cum supper coz din have dinner but felt like trying it since i was shopping with friends there. :)

black pepper chicken breast with fries and cheese potato
fish and chips with cheese potato and coleslaw
I think the food is pretty decent and the variety can be considered aplenty. the cheese potato is NICE~ maybe coz i'm a cheesy person =x the coleslaw was a lil' too sour for my liking but nonetheless, i savoured it to the last bit. i love the black pepper chicken than the fish and chips... i think fried stuff tend to taste decent no matter how lousy the person cooking is. lol~ i guess the grilling and cooking part is where a chef's skill is being tested but yeah, its well-worth my penny since the food was of abundance~ couldnt finish the food and my friend and i "resorted" to 5-10 to finish most of the food! :P

its nice and its right next to *SCAPE or youth park. Botak Jones has outlets islandwide and its inexpensive. i forgot the price already.

*after much persuasions and encouragement, i may make plans to migrate my foodie trysts to a dedicated food blog. i think its gonna take more dedication and commitment. i will rethink about this proposal!~ lol~

Birthday Bash Part 3-11/10

NYDC Chocolate Cheesecake~~
Lao Beijing

WOW~~~ i'm loving it~

An Big Big Thank you to all you guys!~ you all really blew me away, take my breath away.... i'm left speechless for real... haiz~ i'm overwhelmed with emotions this time yet its emotions of joy and love. i'm so moved that i think i really had to restrain myself... love you guys a whole lot....

it was a post celebration with my beloved classmates because i couldnt attend class on thurs due to preparation work to be done. yet indeed, god saves the best always for the last yeah! :) we met up at Dhoby Ghaut since i think its time to give Lao Beijing a try for its High Tea Dimsum buffet. i think all of us enjoyed and i was so full that i didnt want have the cake... the free-flow of xiao long Baos.... oh my oh my~ *slurp~ soup was pretty good although i had better elsewhere but for its pricetag it is worth everything. if only they have this buffet for lunch instead of high tea... den it would be soooooooooo convenient!~ lol~

once again, i'm totally blown away with the present you guys gotten me and i really feel indebted and unworthy of such a big present. really really touched and thanks for the preparation from the start till the end although David gave away alot of hints here and there. But for sure, the present is really really something that i didnt expect and i really really love it soo soo much~ *when i tot the bigger the gift, the ermmm.....~* haha~ thks guys and girls! lets keep relationships alive for a long long time like Ashley and Shirley said. i love you all with so much gratitude and heartfelt emotions towards you all. you all are sure people i wanna hold dear to my heart.

This year its been a rollercoaster ride for many of us i believe and myself and yet i'm slowly moving towards to place of no-looking back because the latter rain has manifested itself that it is more glorious than the former. as we approach the final 2mths+of 2009, i begin seeing more challenges and more fruits of labour and beautiful things coming to my life and coming to pass. This year i receive the most number of gifts and celebrations and wishes. I saw major changes in my life in a shortest span of time. I see more beautiful people and gems shining. I see young and exciting people. I see the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. I see the good, the bad, the ugly. and lastly, I saw love.

i wish only for my love to permeate wherever i go despite my imperfections.
Mother Teresa:" I belong to no one, I belong to the World."

Birthday Bash Part 2-10/10

ho ho ho~ Blackforest ice cream cake from Swensen's!! lovely baby~ my colleagues celebrated 4 of our birhtdays, namely Ian, Ivy, my bro and myself at Sukiya at Marina Square for Shabu Shabu buffet (again...). I really dunno where they hid the cake and it was funny this year coz i had to write my own brother's bday card! lol~

it was nice of them to all appear especially a VIP appearance by Lilian. lol~ it was fun eating and talking rubbish... i was touched coz one of my friends call me from overseas to wish me happy birthday and we chatted for think 15-20mins on international!! @_@ but it was nice catching up and reminicsing the past and stuff. One of my friend sms me from HKG, which was really nice of him. this year i managed to excuse myself from drinking and i think some of my friends were pissed~ oops!~

really much much thks to all my colleagues coz i think they 大出血 coz it was 4 persons' bday concurrently held. applaud u all man~ time to go shopping~ keke~

*more pics on my facebook.

Birthday Bash Part 1-9/10

erm... no pics paiseh~! :p

celebrated my birthday with my cell group people who prepared a pleasant surprise! it was a Jazz Night party where i had spent 2wks plus to practise for it. The actual day was worse! i felt more nervous and i think i couldnt hide my nervousness well although my friends thought i was not bad lol~ it was nice to once in a while have a nice fellowship meeting and relax but sadly, i'm not the one relaxing. anyway i'm more worried about my assignment.

it was nice that i got the Bakerzin's Blueberry Cheesecake. love cheese, love blueberries! wooohoo~ and they got me some apparels and a nice rugged belt from Levis Signature. my 1st Levis actually. lol~ *from the countryside.... anyway thks for the gifts and the lovely cake. need a rest man~ tired~~

Si Chuan Dou Hua

it was an early celebration with some close friends for my birthday. i was yearning to come here for sooooooo long alrdy.... FINALLY!~ anyway, it was not the actual thing i wanna try since what i wanted to have was the wkend dim sum brunch that had 100 dishes but this was not bad with abt 60+ dishes. in the end we only managed to try 10++ odd dishes but it was still good!

the dinner buffet menu
kungfu tea
some starters: spicy cold beef, spiced meat
starters: salad prawn
Shark fins soup-real fins
stir-fried ginger onion beef
soon hock fried fish
think is prawn paste chicken? cant remember but very nice~
braised sea bass
yang chow fried rice
soft shell crab
Overall, the food is very good, i give it a thumbs up coz it deserves for one to return but the service is ridiculous and exceptionally poor. i find it hard to stomach in my standings and is very disappointed given the hype and classy-ness of the place. the good food served as a complementary till we were engaged in our own world talking and eating. lol~ its $35.80++ per pax but UOB cardmembers enjoy 3+1 dining. looking forward to my next time here only for the wkend brunch or Wanhao at Mariott's!~ oo lala~

Million-dollar view :)
